Access to energy

NCM Grids store energy that can be used to reduce the high power demands that can occur in connection with a construction site, which in turn can reduce energy costs. NCM Grid's process creates a collaboration between the microgrid and the electricity supply connected to it.

There is a growing market in Sweden and Europe called the flexibility market. In this market, you get paid to reduce your electricity consumption during certain times. Both construction companies and owners of local grid connections can make money from using batteries to cover energy needs. Other ways to save or make money include avoiding high energy peaks and buying electricity at a low price during certain times of the day and then using it when the electricity price is higher.

Process

With minimal effort, NCM Grids provides you with a microgrid with functions for charging vehicles and machines. The system can share a connection to the AC grid or use multiple energy sources.

Establish charging infrastructure

The solution requires minimal modifications to existing buildings. NCM Grids work in parallel with the AC grid and are disconnected when the need has changed. A direct current network is better suited to handle the high power levels of charging.

Charging of machines

The modules are mobile and the charger can be easily transported with the machine it is charging to minimize the time the vehicle has to move before each charge. The system helps you plan for every load, move or change and adapts its control to make the best use of its resources. With software, NCM Grids optimizes the machine's charging pattern to extend battery life. For that, NCM Grids uses a central control and a user interface that gives the user the ability to control the installed resources at the workplace. 

Prepare infrastructure

The workplace must not stand still as this entails large costs. NCM Grids always work together, if part of the system fails, resources in the remaining systems are used to continue functioning without interruption. If an accident occurs and the system breaks down, it is possible to replace the broken module with a new one without affecting operational reliability.
